does anyone know where to get this, aka the rear bearing retainer, im just trying to sell mine and mines cracked so i was either going to replace it or give the buyer info on where to buy it, but i cant find it anywhere...any help on where to get one would be appreciated, thank you

Junkyard probably. The transfer cases were sold to Jeep as complete assemblies. You might call some of the places that rebuild them or make rebuild kits for them (Tom Woods, Novak, etc) and see if they have any laying around. Tail-cone is the same for 231.

I would have to disagree. The 231 SYE for tailhousing did match up to my 242.
