The "Just Right" Bumpers...

X E Ryder

NAXJA Forum User
Alright fellow NAXJA people,

I have made the rounds and searched, looked and considered.

But I have yet to find the Just Right Bumpers for my XJ.

In front; I would love a pair of lights, shackle pad eyes, and a brush/bull guard or Prerunner-ish hoop on front, and hopefully for a semi decent price.

Out Back, a pair of pad eyes and a hitch receiver rated for the XJ's native towing capacity.

So far I have just not found "The One" that makes me click Buy Now! Can you help and hopefully link pictures too?

You have my thanks.

Front: (excluded ARB and Hanson because don't build without winch and are rather expensive).

Until now I'm thinking for my rig:

1) Without winch nor tire carrier.

JCR - Front and Rear.

2) With Winch + Tire Carrier

Dirtoffroad Extreme - Front
Rididco/Detour - Rear.

Best bang for the buck is either Dirtbound's DIY kit or JCR's DIY kit, what it comes down to is which style you preffer and the shipping costs.

Wow!

Thank you thank you THANK YOU!

Those are perfect and price reasonable!

I love this one...

They are also my choice. The receiver it's handy to put a hook. Under the water it's easier to attach the recovery strap to a hook than to a d-rings.

landlfabrication.com he makes good stuff. Takes a while, as I think its his "hobby"/second job?

I love My JCR bumpers!

My choice would be (and is going to be) Dirtbound Offroad DIY kit. Can't beat the price, quality, and appearance! Not that JCR and others are ugly, CAUSE THEY'RE NOT!

Yea the DIY kits are damn tempting, my work schedule and situation just don't leave me time for those anymore.

OMG, I've become a Bolt-on modder! Ack! :eyes:

Well I guess that's not too bad, but I do miss the days of spending a week fabbing bracketry for my projects and building it up.

WOW! BADA$$ pix FlexdXJ!

Thanks dude. Like you I don't have the time and I also don't have the skill, so I went to JCR and they did a great Job, I beat the piss out of my bumpers and armor(Also JCR)and they held up fine. I am a bolt on wheeler but i'm out there wheeling, thats all that counts! Oh and I wanted to keep my DD in once piece so I armored it before anything.

I have the Extreme Winch bumper from Dirtbound and it has been amazing. install is great and it is a heavy duty hunk of metal. I broke 2 drill bits trying to drill mounting holes for my license plate. The other day I had a lady back up into me and her entire hatch door on her saturn was demolished. I also only did 2 hella 700's in the hoop instead of the 3 like on Max's jeep, seems to not block airflow to the radiator that way. If you want pics check out my build on JF.
