Im putting a B&M Super cooler in my 2000 xj. I tried for almost an hour, and the return line fitting that is supposed to go into the top line connection on the radiator will not screw on. Its not stripped, and the OEM connector will screw on just fine. I can only get it to latch to the first thread, then it comes right off.Its definitely the right size, so what gives? Ive attached the culprit...

****This is not my Jeep, but this is the connector I cannot get on.****

It looks like if you were to remove that barb fitting, the original threaded male end would be there and it would screw right on,

Or you could cut off a little bit of the metal line and use a short piece of hose and some clamps, as was already suggested.

I would take that fitting off the radiator & re-install the original fitting.

I would plumb the cooler into the fluid return line from the rad by cutting into the flexible hose & use barbed connectors with clamps.

Use Search, There are tons of threads about this with good photos.
