For some reason it puts on the rear four ways. I replaced the relay but no change. Where should I go from here

Make sure you have no faulty bulbs, bulb sockets, or bulb wiring causing a short circuit. If you have a trailer light plug inspect the installation and wiring.
If all the electrical check out good, you may need a new turn signal switch/multi function module.

Most likely the turn signal switch, same symptom on my Jeep. New switch fixed it.
