Ax-15 trans input shaft grease?

Did a search on the web, etc. Wanted to see what kind of grease to use for the Ax-15 input shaft? High-temp grease? Looks like something else was used previously. Advice?

I don't think it requires grease, it gets lubed from the normal tranny fluid. Thats not to say that during assembly that you shouldn't apply a little grease to make sure it has lubrication until the fluid creeps into the seal.

I believe he's talking about the input shaft that's external to the tranny that the throwout slides on. I've used grease before. One person here recommended a dry graphite lubricant that won't attract clutch dust. Many have found that the leaky rear main seal will do a fine job lubricating it.
