Fuel pump buzzing sound...

I have a 97 xj country..

Heres a vid of the noise it's making..... Coming from the gas tank. It happened mid day in azusa canyon...

Anyone know if its the fuel pump that went out? Didn't sputter or anything, and i don't think i noticed a difference in performance. I took it easy after i started hearing it though.

If you're positive it's coming from inside of your gas tank, it is very possible that you are close to a fuel pump failure. Sometimes they get noisy before they functionally fail.
 
When you buy a new fuel pump assembly, stay away from Airtex. A quick search of any XJ forum will tell that story.

My first choice is Bosch, followed by Carter.
