Bad Cherokee crash in Norco

That was a Cherokee? That must have been a hellacious impact! I seriously hope it wasn't one of "us", and feel terrible for the families of both vehicles...

Wow, that's bad. It looks a lot like an XJ I saw for sale in norco. It had an ARB front bumper on it, but I get make one out in the picture.

Can't tell much except that it is blue and seems to be lifted. Single occupant, DUI?
gotta be, either they're really old or intoxicated as i have never seen another reason to drive the wrong way on the highway. and a lifted xj kind of rules out the really old part.

About 6 years ago I was driving down the 71 going back home, it was mid week and like 2am. I was in an F450 SuperDuty pulling a 48ft enclosed car hauler, I had 2 Rolls Royce Phantoms in it, total weight about 26,000lbs.... All of a sudden I see headlights comming towards me from what looked to be the right shoulder, it was about half a mile away, I thought for sure it was CHP because I was doing about 65-70... I slow down some waiting for them to turn around but they kept coming towards me. That's when I realized somebody had just drove up an off ramp and was going the wrong way! I started diving lanes to the left and then the idiot made a freak u-turn aross all lanes right in front of me. I ended up in the car pool lane and the XXXXer still hit the ass end of my trailer.

Freak'n guy was in his 30's so he wasn't old, and he wasn't drunk either. He said he was lost...lol idiot.

Seriously??? Look around you. This forum is crawling with old people who drive lifted XJ's. I think I've seen a gold sponsor ad for Viagra on here too...

But honestly it doesn't matter in these cases. It's always a horrible thing to hear that poeple died bc of someone else's stupidity. That's why I don't watch the news anymore. It's either politics, or something disappointing. Work on the XJ and jam out to some Led. :listenmus

old meaning old enough that they shouldnt have their license anymore, like 85.

OK time to send you off for sensitivity training. Being mean to all of us geezers.

Possibly a suicide....I've seen this here on I-90 a couple of times.

Seriously though, my thoughts and prayers go out to both the victim's and the driver's families. It sucks losing anyone to circumstances like these.

wasnt meant as a joke or anything, just the odds of a person old enough to be that disoriented because of age is unlikely to be in a lifted xj

Being old enough to be disoriented and still driving a (somewhat) lifted XJ is part of my future plans... at 46, it's not even that "future"!!

Told my kids I want them to put me in a bitchin' old age home that has "a nice rock garden and some waterfalls", for when they take my driver's license away & I can only drive on the property!!

Hey don't worry about it. It's all in good fun. Besides even the youngsters eventually are oldsters. At 51 every 4X4 I've owned in the past thirty years has been lifted and moded.....it's just a habit.
