Durango Steering Box.

Does the stock pitman arm fit on the dodge durango steering box?

Can someone clarify exactly what year and model(snow package or not) please?

The stock pitman arm will fit the Durango Box. Remember that the stock box does not have the same throw as a standard XJ box. You have to tear it down and pull out a steel ring and grind down the aluminum cover to make it cover the same range.

Also beware that the steering ratio is quicker so the steering will be more skitish. I actually sold my box because I didn't like it on the highway.

appreciate the info. Im just going to stick with the xj box. Doesn't seem like much of a upgrade.

I was told it's 'practically' drop in..

It is drop in, did this a month ago since my stock box bit the dust.

Just add 2 washers between the box and the frame to make a tad more clearance for the larger diameter of the body.

No complaints as far as steering throw either, but I do have a few washers under my stops to save my u joints from wear and tear.
