Engine & Trani swap tips

Swapping out a 2001 with 230k for a 98 with half the miles and putting in a 5 spd instead of the auto. thats in it now.
Have the new t-case and had the 98 head rebuilt and going use a few parts from the 01 that were recently replaced (starter,water pump,belts,alternator). Any tips that would make this adventure easier would be greatly appreciated. This is the first time for this type of project.

your gonna need a 5spd computer for your 01, along with pedals trans mount/crossmember ect.

I'm lost, 5 spd computer? Do u mean a new ecm. Can the 01 ecm be remapped for a 5 spd ?

There's places online where you can either swap or buy a computer you can keep the auto computer and ground the nss wire but it will through a engine code and you will not pass emitions
