Trouble with headlights

Hello! i just bought a 1996 Cherokee Country and im having some trouble with the headlights. The turn signals have power, the running lights have power, all interior lights have power, but the headlights still wont work. i replaced the headlight switch and that didnt fix anything. Any thoughts? when i bougth the car both low and high beams worked, when i went to drive home from a friends house the other night, nothing would come on. any help you guys can give would be fantastic, thanks!

There's a multi-way connector between the airbox and the left fender that connects the header wiring harness to the vehicle harness. This is a well known location for the conductors to corrode & crack off from the terminals.
