Brake question

I have an 89 cherokee 4.0 4x4. I just changed my front differential with a 97 and my rear differential is a 96 chrysler 8.25 29 spline. My question is should I change the proportioning valve on my brakes with a 91-97 model valve? Thanks for your replies.

Since you are disc/drum, you shouldn't have to change the prop valve. Better would be newer brakebooster/master cyl. either 97+ XJ or WJ. Just the prop valve I do not believe will have that much affect with stock brake setup. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.
