Compatible

I read tidbits of which Grand Cherokee parts were compatible (straight bolt on/in) with the XJs, here and there, but wanted to start a thread where folks who were more knowledgeable could provide their input to folks (like me) who were less. This could be a great resource for people looking for a really affordable upgrade. For example, I read that the Grand Cherokee alternator was a good upgrade to the XJ. However, I don't know from which year Grand into which year XJ...I also read some seats were bolt-in...
