H3 light bulb

I have the hella 500FF driving lights with the wiring harness fuses and relay installed. they do work but i was wondering if the 55Watt bulbs can be changed too 100watt or 75watt bulbs without melting the wiring harness? will i need to upgrade to thicker gage wire? there is only one set on my XJ on the front bumper. soon i will be adding more but was just wondering if that would work or not?

Google for a wire gauge calculator or chart. Input your data (amp draw, wire length, etc) and see what it says.

I am currently running 35w 4300K HID's in my Hella 500's, and they throw more light than the 75w halogen I pulled out.

HID conversion will definitely put out more light.

I put 100 watt bulbs in all 6 of my hellas without any problems with my first ones. Now have an HID kit in the only set on the jeep.. they work ok, a little more blue then I wanted.
