Battery Temperature Sensor

Anyone ever have an issue with the Battery Temp Sensor? I got an odd situation involving voltage and charging, looking through all-data and identifix, it points to either being a PCM (i hope not) or the battery temp sensor.

The voltage to pin 22 on the PCM connector is fine, just wondering if anyone had an issue involving this.

This is for a 97 xj 4.0 auto

I had a small fluxuation in voltage at one time. Pulled the battery and found the Batt Temp Sensor out of position (not capable of contacting the battery) because the wave washer broke up into bits. I replaced the Batt Temp Sensor but it made no difference in Alternator (generator) output so I replaced the Alternator - fixed the voltage fluxuation. The Alternator had about 130,000 miles on it. It had been installed since new (April 1999).

I had a problen with this a while back. CEL illuminated.
Checked the codes and got the same indication you did.
Turned out I'd pinched the temp sensor leads when I was
messing with the battery.
