D-ring tab hole size.

So I have some scraped parts from my shop, they are made from A514 3/4" plate and resemble a bumper bracket with a during tab at the end, I was thinking of cutting the tab off and use it for a rear bumper I'm starting.

My only concern is that the hole is 1.5" and my d rings are 1" and I have some 3/4" also. I was wondering if those will cause an issue with it having room to move before a yank.

Re: Dring tab hole size.

over time... like, hundreds of HARD pulls later... you'll get deformation on the backside of the hole. doubt you'll rip it though.

In the short term, the clanky clanky just may drive you nuts.
