Brakes

Does anyone else have an issue trying to stop when in reverse? I have to push the brake all the way to the floor for it to slowly stop. Going forward it stops ok but I wish it was better. My brakes front and rear are all new but it still seems pretty crappy. I just wanted to know if this is a normal cherokee thing and is there a cheap way to fix it.

Manually adjusting your rear brakes will make a difference. Pull off a rear wheel and see if it's binding, leaking or otherwise screwed up. The "auto-adjuster" is supposed to activate backing up and slammin' on the brakes...not so much. There nothing like proper adjustment of the drums. Increases braking power by...75-100%.
