Metal to metal sound in rear suspension?

My 98 has Rustys 6.5" spring pack in the rear with Rustys shocks. When I go over a pot hole or speed bump at slow speeds it sounds like a harsh metal to metal contact. I checked the shock bushings and bar pins and they all look fine. I've had it up on the air and cant find anything.

can you feel it just hear it? maybe the shackles are hitting the frame? :dunno:

I can feel it and hear it, I'll look at the shackles.

Look really close at the spring bushings, especially if they are poly bushings. You may have worn a bushing and you're getting metal to metal contact at the spring eye/spring bolt area.

Mine did this and found that I had over flexed my leafs and my shackles were impacting the back of the uni-body...
