Haunted XJ?

when battery is connected all 4 doors randomly lock and unlock over and over. Anybody have an idea where to start with this one?

* '97 XJ that I picked up really cheap with various issues. PO has been in the drivers door trying to repair broken regulator and window off the track. I have disconnected main window switch on drivers door. Also there was evidence of a squirrel nest on top of intake manifold.

Check your wiring up buy the lock unlock relays. Could have been chewed.

are the relays under dash or in engine compartment? BTW, I believe it may of had this issue before the squirrel moved in but thought I should mention it just in case.

removed kick panel relays #28 and #29...door locks seem to lock and unlock at a faster rate now. :sure:

pulled fuse #15 and that killed it...since this is going to be a beater XJ i'm not sure it's worth the effort to track this problem down

One of your switches is shorted. It then the relay cycles on and off.
