Hey everyone, new to this forum. They recommended you all over at Jeepforum.
To make a long story short, my 228 case has a hole in it where it really looks to me like something used to be. Its not the vent, the vent is a few inches away.
As you may know these cases are getting harder and harder to find, and there isnt much info online. So Im hoping someone here might have one, and can check it out for me.
This little "vane" or "ridge" is on the passenger side of the t-case, it difficult to tell in the pics but it runs almost parallel to the ground, if not slight angled away from the ground, so I cant see it being damaged from off-road use, which I did some today.
On to the pictures, my finger is in the hole in both pictures.
Again I know this is a difficult angle, but this is the passenger side of the case.
You can see the rear output yoke as a reference point.
Please if you have a 228 case, or know someone who does, or might know someone who does. Please help a guy out
