So my buddy has a 96 sport aw-4 and I got him a set of 5 unused Rubicon 17"s w/ 255/75-17 Goodys(32") and he bought the Spidertrax adapters. Now we need to get it lifted to run this setup. He stays on road 99% of the time so I'm not worried about flexing offroad. Any reason to not go with a cheap($600) RC 3" lift with new rear leaves(not gonna add to a 16 yo pack)? Any other recommendations?

No reason not to. Other than maybe piecing together lift parts (usually cheaper) and better ride quality. Maybe some Bilstein 5100s instead of the white rockets that the kit has.Side note: Some deal with it, but larger tires on stock gearing is not very fun. I only have 31's and noticed enough difference in accel, grades, etc. I am going to 4.10s for this reason.
