It's strange cause I closed the gate turned the key and they just started running. Then killed the key went back to the hatch opened it then slamed it then turned the key and it everything was fine. Went down the road it started up and I pulled the fuse. Wierd thing is the fluid pump/wiring isnt in the hatch. So maybe the hatch open closing is just coincidence.
not entirely true. there is power to the wiper motor when the washer pump is energized by the control switch. my guess is your switch is toasted. dont rule out broken or chaffed wires between the chassis and hatch either. couldnt hurt to fix em if you find em.
