4.0 Piston Quandry from my new 1995

Howdy,

Just pulled the cracked head off my 1995 XJ Country, and it seems to have some numbers on the top of each cast piston. The number 50 looks to be cast into the top of each piston, with an arrow, and "FRNT"...

Is this a stock 1995 4.0 piston, or is it oversize, or is it just a big fan of Fiddy-Cent???

Please advise...

Here is the big picture via Blackberry ===>>> http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z403/RoyRoy4Jeep/IMG-20111013-000391.jpg

Thanks,

Awesome !!! I appreciate the info, and the dial-bore indicator that i just borrowed says you are right. This is be my first inline-6 Stoker Motor, and it should clean up just perfect at 0.030" oversize. Gonna go with the good rods, the offset ground crank, and a re-man head from Sacramento. That and a HESCO cam with some 30 pound injectors should do the trick. Talked to Chad at HESCO today, and he can build up an alloy head in 4 days, but the wife said "NO", so we are gonna get the cast iron Stroker this year.

Thanks for the assist,
Roy
