Source for E-Brake Lever and Threaded Rod?

While replacing my drum brakes yesterday, I managed to snap the threaded rod that connects the Parking Brake lever to the cable equalizer. I'm guessing that the rod was part of the actual handle/lever assembly. Does anyone know of a source (other than a yard) where I might be able to get a replacement unit? Has anyone come up with an alternative fix for the threaded rod? Thanks for your help.

Where did you brake the rod at? If there's threads still left on the rod I've seen people use a union nut on the old rod and a new section of threaded rod for extending it out some when changing e-brake cables.

Unfortunately, as luck would have it, I broke the rod right where the threads morph into a solid piece. There is only one thread remains on the solid part. The rest came off with the nuts.

That may be the answer (plus a union nut) if I can not source a replacement.

There's one for sale on EBay right now but it's for 97 and up.

Might want to have a look around there.
