Headgasket.

So I blew my headgasket this weekend, I already have the head off I just need to bring it to the machine shop. Is there anything I should do to the block or head when I am doing the headgasket? I already ordered browndog motor mounts. Anything else?

Since you have everything readily accessible I'd check the freeze plugs.

That would depend on what caused the head gasket to fail!

get some feeler gauges and clean the block surface and make sure the block is true. also clean those water jackets the best you can

You might want to take a look at the nozzle end of the injectors to make sure they look good.
Check the exhaust manifold for cracks.
Check cylinder walls and pistons for scratches and cracks.
