Unless you know what year it came from, there's no way to tell if it's a 27 or 29 spline. Best way to know is to pull a shaft.

It came from a '94 2.1 diesel
Europe got those thru '94 with 4.10 gears.
That means i've got a 8.25 and a non-disco D30 with 4.10s ready to go under my 4.0 on 35"s.

Most likely its a 27 spline then but I'm not 100% given its a European model. 4.10 will be "okay" with 35's but i would go with 4.88, thats what I have on my 96 w/35's and I like the way it runs and the fuel economy is near stock.
I have 4.10's on my DD with 30's and its perfect! Just the right amount of gear for around town and the highway
