Explain it to me...

...as if I were five years old.

I am in the process of replacing the following things on the front axle:

brake pads
brake rotors
brake calipers
bearing hubs
u-joints

I am dazzled by the plethora of options when it comes to calipers and from calling the part stores found that the sales clerks arent that knowledgeable.

What do I need? What is the difference between "calipers with pads and hardware" and "loaded calipers" is my main question.

I want to jut by the entire assembly and bolt it with the two bolts. If you have parts numbers at hand, I would appreciate if you share them with me.

Sorry, 99 4WD. I believe it is the latter 99.

I brought the old one to AZ and it matched part #5396 if this helps. Here is a link to it:

Just say "yes" to either option, open the box on the counter before you leave and see if it's what you want. Either option sounds like it'll work for you, although you may have to insert the pads in the former but not the later.
