97 cherokee dana 35 rearwheel speed sensor.

Just replaced a blown rear and the and abs light is on. It says it is the passanger side wheel speed sensor I have the one off the old rear. My question is do I have to pull all the brakes off to get to it or can I just pull the drum and get to it.

The sensor can be removed from the backing plate side,the tone ring is pressed onto the axle shaft.

The bolt is on the inside of.the drum was not sure if I could get to it with the shoes on it is the sensor that is bad.
