RESTING lower control arm angle question

building some brackets to install some JK front upper and lower control arms... HOWEVER... I am not sure what angle I should shoot for...

I am at 4.75" of actual lift...

from test fitting I can keep the arms pretty close to the frame and end up at 5°

or I can lower the arms a little bit (around 3" below the frame rail) and end up at 0°

I know 0° at resting is optimal, however it lowers the arms a lot!!! so what do you guys think I should do?

NOTE: the stock arms at 4.75" of lift are sitting around 15° WOW!!! :laughing:

You want the arms to be as close to horizontal as possible.

I get that 0° would be best, but man it would hang low

Well, what do you think drop brackets do? They hang low

trying to avoid that... these arms are around 22.5" long... at 4.5" of lift short arms are running around 15°

if I tuck these up high as I can on the frame I get 5°, which is a 10° improvement

That's pretty good then, i say go for it. Or find a happy medium and drop it some but not all the way

I don't think 5* would make much of a difference.

I'd tuck them up.

Drop brackets are the best solution for short arms.

basically 22 5/8"

last time I did this there was NO thought put into it... lol

I just tucked them high
