Can you please look under your jeep and tell me what style of extension housing you have (the one on the left side of picture or right side of picture) and what year your jeep is?

AW4 transmission only please.

This sensor came out of the one on the right.

It looks like the sensor came out of the one on the left.

I'll go check the '88 in a little while...

Went and checked real quick- couldn't find it. Where are we looking?

That is the T-case adapter for a AW4. I own 6 XJ's/MJ's ranging from 89-00 and for the life of me I have never noticed a difference in any of them.

My '99 looks like the one in the [my] left in the upper pic and the one holding the sensor. 242 TC.
