unknown switch

90 XJ 4x4 AW4....while changing the oxygen sensor, I found a broken sensor or switch sticking in the side of the transmission just below manifold where the the oxygen sensor mounts. It has a connector just like the ones that go on the fuel injectors, 2 wire. Can anyone tell me what it is? Power/Comfort? 4 wheel drive select?

Knock sensor. And that's not the transmission!

Duh !! Brain cramp from lying under the heap trying to change the O2 sensor. It is definitely not the transmission. .....
