Eliminating RE proprietary bushings

I'v read stories about the RE hourglass bushings getting worn reguarly.. i think i'd like to eliminate them in favor of the OEM Jeep CA bushings.

Anyone done this, and have input on the tube ID that i'll need? Both the large and small sizes.

Also, any issue with doing so? I'll be keeping the RE Johnny joints as they seem to last me fine and have been cheap enough to rebuild.

There is nothing wrong with your idea,JKS and a couple other companies have the bushing cradles.
