Intermittently airbag light and clockspring?

A couple nights ago the airbag light on my '98 started coming on intermittently and I haven't had a horn or cruise control for a while, does this sound like a symptom of a dieing clock spring to you guys too? I was going to take it to the Advanced Auto a friend works for on my next day off to see if their scanner will pick it up.


BTW, has anybody ever had their OBD2 XJ failed when taking it in for emissions testing because of this?

Sounds like a failed clock spring.

IDK about IL, but if the CEL is on you usually fail right away.

That's why I wasn't sure, the airbag light is different that the check engine light, but I wasn't too sure of the one would be tied to the other, law wise.
