solid stock for steering??

I can get 1.125 round and 1.25 round for free here at work. I know it will be heavy but its FREE!

any other possible downfalls?

if you can turn it and tap it go for it!
 
Nothing like keeping your CG low.:D
 
We run solid stock for all our link components.
 
Ironman 4x4 fab uses solid in some of his stuff. As long as you can drill and tap it I don't see any reason why not to use it if its free!

Any luck in finding any 1.75". I need to make some exo connectors.

Tom you might wan to call Andy @ Ironman 4x4 Fab. He is one of our vendors and I think he uses 1.75" in his products. If he does he would probably sell you what you needed.
 
yea i run CNC's so im gonna put it on the lathe and drill and single point the threads.

let me see what we have in the back for 1.75" later today and ill let you know old man. PM how much you need.
