Font left noise

Ok my 2000 xj has a "clicking" noise in the front left side wen rolling slowly(walking speed) but wen I apply the brakes( not enough to slow it) the noise goes away. I put new pads on and rechecked so I know that not the prob. Now it has begun to make a grinding noise wen I make HARD left turn. Would like to get some input b4 I tear into it. Thanx. Pink Lady

2x or 4x if 4x check your u-joints at the wheel. Also check your wheel bearings.
