What year YJ steering box

lectrode

NAXJA Forum User
I searched and I cannot seem to find what year
of YJ steering box that people are using in their XJ's.

And is it the 800 vs the durango's 808?

Thanks for any & all help!

Go to rockauto.com, pull up a model and see what the interchange data shows.

Oh nevermind here it is :

JEEP CHEROKEE (full-size not XJ) (1980 - 1983)
JEEP GRAND WAGONEER (full-size not XJ) (1984 - 1991)
JEEP J10 (1980 - 1988)
JEEP J20 (1980 - 1988)
JEEP WAGONEER (1980 - 1983)
JEEP WRANGLER (1987 - 1993)

They also list sub-models like Sahara and SE up to 1995 so presumably it is every YJ

I put in a C-Rok inner brace last year when I
installed my Logan's winch bumper.

Does that mean I have 4 mounting points?

Just went on c-roks website, seems it does'nt but it is better than stock.

Update:

Got the YJ box in. Don't buy JCR's 4 bolt kit. Whoever drilled the holes (or cut them with a torch) was obviously not paying attention when they did it.

And I'd say you gotta use a hole saw to cut the 4th hole. Drill bit wouldn't work because you are cutting through the top of the unibody rail from the side. Doesn't work.
