How long are these shackles in the fully closed position? I want to measure against what i have and then see if they are to tall as i dont want to lift one side. just my right side always ending up sagging out.

roughly 8" but I can make them a little shorter if need be 6.5 is about the tightest I can do

i like these i have a 4.5 inch lift and i just did my 8.8 swap so the rear is now about an inch higher than the front will these allow me to drop my rear lift height?

no... sorry these are actually a 2 inch lift from the get go.
