Transmission valve cable

I have been looking online for a while and I searched the threads here, and I can't find the answer that I need.

The transmission valve throttle cable on my 2000 XJ is frayed and looks like it is about to break. I have been trying to search the internet and find a parts store that sells the part for cheaper than the dealership. The problem is, I'm not finding any parts stores that sell it at all??????? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am also interested in pricing a torque converter.

I would try my damndest to source something like this from a junk yard. I'm not familiar with the tranny end of the cable, but the yard is where you learn these things!

I think so, I have been checking my service manual and it says that the pan has to be dropped. I have been trying to find a writeup on naxja, but I cant seem to find it.
