-I installed a new ignition switch and neutral safety switch

-I have not previously heard the motor turn over or run before i acquired the Jeep.

-I put a new head gasket in it and cleaned up the top end a little.

-Will turn over if I "jump" the starter but I have not connected the coil wire

-When I turn the key the lights on the dash dim, indicating voltage draw

Any Ideas?

Very cool I will do some research and get back to you tomorrow.

Thank you very much!

Get a volt meter and start following the starter trigger wire. Begin at the starter end and work your way back until you have over ten volts. If you have ten volts at the starter and your cables are tight then it should turn over.
