i have been reading and reserching and from what i hear my exhaust will sound way better if i were to get rid of my cat. but the problem is i have an o2 sensor in it and i was wondering if the sensor had to be in the cat or if i could get away with mounting it in the pipe.

any input helps thanks

Catalytic converters are a FEDERALLY required component on all XJs. Naxja does not condone illegally removing or bypassing your catalytic converter. Only an idiot would remove his cat to try and improve his exhaust sound. Not only would you be doing all Jeep owners a disservice by doing so, but you would also be ultimately robbing your XJ of a much needed component.

Consider this your one and only warning. Do NOT post up about illegal catalytic removal again.
