Low-profile exhaust components?

Given that I need to replace my muffler and tailpipe, I'd like to go ahead and revamp the whole system from the downpipe back with low-profile components to achieve a bit of a "tummy tuck" on my XJ to be better prepared for some degree of belly armor (I don't want to lift higher, but I wouldn't mind being able to slide over things more safely). I have found some low-profile mufflers with 2.5" inlets and outlets, but most of them are geared for "street" vehicles (lowered cars). As such, I'm not sure how loud they're gonna be...

Is anyone aware of any low-profile exhaust components that aim for quiet performance? I want to maintain an OEM sound (that is, as close to silent as possible), so if you have any tips that take that into mind they'd be greatly appreciated.

What I've found thus far:

http://www.texastamufflers.com/

Flowmaster's Delta Force series appears to attempt the whole low-profile thing, but I've gotta be honest - I've never liked Flowmaster's sound in any application I've ever heard (plus it looks like their low-profile Deltas are for 3.5" pipe applications).

I can't find a low-profile catalytic converter to save my life, so if you have any tips there they'd be greatly appreciated.

As always, thanks in advance guys.

Magnaflow mufflers.. pick a length and round or oval body. Amazon has them cheapest.. free shipping too.

For cat.. performance-curve.com universal. Cheapest I have seen.
