searched around didnt find an exact answer

my pump or steering box? whines when i turn left and when i turn right.

the fluid gets brown and froths up and bubbles

there are no leaks but it does leak out the cap when it gets all frothy causing a nice mess in the driveway/garage.

the problem started after i put in my new transmission. but i dont see how that could cause this problem. (the jeep sat for about a month while i was trying to find a transmission)

what could be causing this?

thanks,
Mitch

Something is pulling air into the system. Could be a bad cap. Check for any moisture around the pump, lines and gearbox--sometimes pressure squirts fluid out when you turn to one way, and suction draws air in when you turn to the other.
