Signal Blinker and Hazard Light Issues

I have a strange problem where occasionally turning on my left blinker will cause both of my rear signals to flash like I have my hardards on. This never happens when I'm turning right. The hazards work as expected and the front signals always act normally. I don't even know where to start on something like this.

It's a '97 sport 4.0/AW4, no power windows/locks/doors and I have almost no other electrical issues other than an intermittent blower motor.

It's the the blinker switch that has gone bad and needs to be replaced. It happened on my '99 as well. Here's a thread for reference:

That would appear to be the problem. I guess now I need to decide if this is a $50 problem to me.
