Electrical issue or something normal?

So the other day I had to tow my brothers neon about 3-4 miles. Dunces I had experience getting towed in that car I followed. As I was watching my jeep with the flashers on, I noticed that everyone and awhile the flashers would either cut out completely, stay solid, or one would flash and the other solid. I was wondering if this is normal or if I have an electrical malfunction. Everything else works fine. Thanks.

Could the flasher going out when it heats up.

They were on for about 20 min. So could be.
