Descent LEDs would be the way to go I think.

Considering the current draw of LED versus standard incandescents I was wondering about running a 2-4 strips of high output LEDS in place of what was up there already. Maybe even more, making them switchable individually or in pairs.
I have seen some nice high output LED kits at motorcycle shows.
