Hi, I will be replacing my rear main later today or tomorrow, do any of you have any tips on problems I might have, or easier ways to do it? Ive never torn it apart that far, so I am a little apprehensive...thanks...

If you have a decent amount of wrenching experience, think 3-4 hours. If not, plan on all day.
It's more time-consuming than anything else, and you have to pay attention to what you're doing once you have the pan down. Take your time...

Thanks for all your help! I plan on doing it tomm. (actually today cuz it is 3am) But anyhow as for this:
coat it with mud and ignore it.. i'm hoping that gets me thru till the spring I alredy tried it, and it didn't work. The nice coating I had still let me blow out 5 quarts for 500 miles of travel up to school. So I figured I should replace it since I have to run synthetic during winter so my engine doesnt freeze up, and that would be mighty expensive losing it at that rate.
