1994 XJ head light problem

So here's the deal. I recently installed a new stereo, ten minutes later i go to drive to the grocery store and my dash lights won't come on... went to work on it they next morning, but they worked fine. Yesterday i turned the car on and my headlights wont come on. running lights turn on.
all turn signals work fine.
no fuses are broken.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Unfortunately, the best number one grade A advice is for you to undue the work you did--the answer is almost certainly there.

Undo the work you did and make notes of the OEM harness wires and what you connected to them. With that additional info we can likely help you, if you don't come upon the source of the problem yourself.
