Need plastic part that holds linkage to the AW4

I need to replace the plastic part that holds shift linkage to the AW4 shift lever. It is white plastic, round hole in the middle and attaches the shift linkage while the shirt lever on the AW4 goes through the hole, snaps on. This on an 89, 2 WD, XJ, with the AW4.

I need a part number and or source?

i would imagine you should be able to go to any local transmission shop and they should have it or atleast be able to order it for you

Unfortunately it appears to be part of the shift cable, which is part number 5300 4561 for your year.

Some of these parts are discontinued from the dealer, but you might check there anyway
