ok so i've been searching for quite awhile on trying to figure out how to calculate the total track width of an axle... i'm no math whiz but this is how i was trying to figure it out...
(wms to wms) + ((wheel width)-(back spacing)x2) + (extra width of tire)
here is an example of what i'm trying to explain...
77 ford hp44 wms - 66in
wheels - 9in wide
back spacing - 4.5in
tire width - 12.5
12.5 - 9 = 3.5 difference of width from tire to wheel
66 + ((9-4.5)x2) + 3.5 = 78.5in
is this right at all... or am i totally wrong... i'm trying to figure out how much back spacing i'm going to need on wheels
thanks for any help...
