suck down winch

I would like to do a suck down winch on the front but was wondering if anybody had some examples or recommendations of separate winch locations and or cable routing to the axle using their main front winch.
The only example I've seen so far in person bound up the drag link pretty bad.

Goatman and my buddy Opie both mounted their winches in front of the passenger seat and use pulleys to direct the rope for winching or suck down.

Search Advanced Fab (I think) for XJ_Ranger. I'm pretty that is the Opie to whom he is referring. He did a pretty good write up on it as part of his overall build.
