This may not apply here but whatever.
My family's v6 4.6 Grand Cherokee's transmission is crapping out. The RPM's go up to about 4-5000 then go directly into 3rd skipping 2nd completely. My dad took it into a dealer where they said the whole thing needs to be rebuilt... Not sure how much it will cost but I figured I would ask around here. Anybody know a reputable mechanic who can do the job for cheaper than what a dealer would want... or does anybody know anyone who may have a good transmission to sell?
